-What are Eyelash Extensions?

Eyelash extension’s are semi-permanent single strands of synthetic lashes that are attached one-by-one to your own natural lashes.  Each extension is tapered at the tip and has a thick base with a curl to replicate a natural lash.  I will, with great detail and delicacy, attach one lash extension, to one natural lash, one at a time to give you a natural looking bright eye.

-How long do they last? 

Your look can last indefinitely with 45+ minute fills every 2-3 weeks. Like your scalp hair, natural eyelashes grow and shed in a cycle, which is typically about 60 days (2 months). When a natural eyelash matures and falls out, a new eyelash has already been growing and quickly replaces it. People typically shed between 1 and 5 natural lashes each day, depending on their individual growth cycles. When properly applied and cared for, your lash extensions will remain in place until the natural lash on which it rests falls out. Refills are necessary to replenish the fallen hairs and maintain the look.

-How are Lash Extensions applied?

During the lash application the I will isolate one natural lash and attach one lash extension to the isolated hair about 1mm from the eyelid so that none of the eyelash extensions actually touch the skin or stick to each other. This results in the natural look and feel associated with the Xtreme Lashes® brand.

The procedure typically takes anywhere from 1 ½ hours to 2 hours, depending on the number of lashes being applied per eye. Clients are lying comfortably on an massage table with their back supported and eyes closed, and lower lashes are covered to prevent the top lashes from adhering to the bottom lashes. The procedure is often referred to as “Beauty Sleep” as it is non-invasive, painless and so relaxing that clients typically fall asleep then awaken to lush, beautiful lashes.

I will conduct a consultation with you and take into consideration your eye shape, condition of natural lashes, facial features, skin tone, and your lifestyle along with any preferences. I will then select the appropriate lengths, curvatures, thicknesses and colors to customize your unique, individual look. -What are Eyelash Extensions made of?

The extensions are crafted from synthetic polyester.  Synthetic lashes respond better to wear and tear than other materials.  Also, synthetics have the least possible chance of an allergic reaction with human skin.

-What do they look like and how do they feel?

Being a Certified Lash Stylist, I am trained to apply them in a way that look and feel completely real. Application is customized to suit each individual.  I offer a variety of thicknesses, curls, colors and lengths of extension to achieve your preferred look.
